GAUGE:

1 Hexagon = 4 1/2 x 4 in. (11.5 x 10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

2-dc Cl (2-dc cluster) (Yarn over, insert hook in ring and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops) 2 times, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook.
3-dc Cl (3-dc cluster) (Yarn over, insert hook in ring and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops) 3 times, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook.

Garden Coverlet Reviewed by Kayla on 2010-03-02 ***
I really love the design... very pretty. As stated by many others very easy but small. I added a line of double crochet to the outter edge of all hexagons. My finish size was 32x40, still small but will work for a toddler.
I also used orchid and pale yellow for the flowers, instead of the recommended colors.
