Marylebone Road Scarf
Lion Brand® Quick & Cozy
GAUGE: Due to the nature of the fabric when working with Speed Stix, gauge may vary throughout the pattern.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: Scarf is made with 3 strands of yarn held together throughout this pattern.

SCARF

Work in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side), always using 3 strands of yarn held together, until about 1 yd. of each of the 3 strands is left.
Bind off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends. |

| If you think you are going to get the same scarf pictured by following the directions given in the pattern, think again. I found that in order to get a scarf this long you will need to double the required yarn. I tried this pattern with three balls as noted in the instructions - the finished scarf was less than half the 57 inches given - there is no way that the pictured scarf is representative of what the end result is - a scarf that was so short and thick it couldn't wrap once around the neck, let along drape all the way to the waist. I remade it with one less cast-on stitch (5 instead of 6) and it was longer, but still not even close to the picture. Count me very disappointed in this pattern. At least it is extremely quick to stitch, so I wasn't wasting much time - just hard earned $$$
