4-Square Granny Afghan

Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice®

GAUGE:

Small Square = 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 in. (24 x 24 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

1. Four identical Small Squares are crocheted, then sewed together to make center square of Afghan. Outer portion of Afghan is worked around the center square.
2. To keep the Afghan square, join new color in a different corner on each rnd.
3. Beginning ch 3 counts as a dc.
4. Beginning ch 4 counts as dc, ch-1.

Very easy pattern and worked up pretty quick. I used extra yarn that I had to make this into a gift and I added a shell border :)
