GAUGE:
10 sts and 13 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) in pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
Circular needle is used to accommodate large number of sts. Work back and forth on circular needle as if working on straight needles.
AFGHAN Cast on 114 sts.
Knit 4 rows.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: K3, p to last 3 sts, k3.
Row 3: K3, (k2tog) 3 times, (yo, k1) 6 times, *(k2tog) 6 times, (yo, k1) 6 times; rep from * to last 9 sts, (k2tog) 3 times, k3.
Row 4: Knit.
Rep Rows 1-4 until piece measures about 53 in. (134.5 cm) from beginning.
Knit 4 rows. Bind off.
FINISHING Weave in ends.

After reading all the rave reviews about this afghan, I have decided to order the materials and try it. I have been looking for an afghan pattern that would be fun, not to boring, quick to knit, and something a little more challenging than a garter stitch. This fits the bill.
