GAUGE: 17 stitches + 20 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter stitch (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

SCARF
Cast on 22 stitches.
Work even in Garter stitch (knit every row) until piece measures about 68 in. (173 cm) from beginning. Bind off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.

I do a lot of these scarves with similar pattern and make hats to go with them and donate them to Chemo labs for the chemo patients as they loose their hair. Are very much appreciated. I did 210 pieces last year and starting on my next batch for this year, hope to beat that total.
