Apple Pie Hat
Lion Brand® Hometown USATM
GAUGE: 6 stitches = 4 in. (10 cm) in pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| This was a very easy hat to make. I ended up using Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick. The guage was a little off, but I just made sure to chain until the length matched the circumfrence of the hat. This is a great beginner project. I am new to crocheting and I only had some minor problems with the finishing instructions. I didn't understand that they wanted me to thread the yarn through the top circumfrence of the hat and pull the yarn to bunch the hat together at the top. It took me about 2.5 hours to complete.
