GAUGE:

9 sts + 13 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

Kimono is worked in one piece starting at lower edge of Back, worked over the shoulders and ending at lower edge of Fronts.

Spring Blossom Baby Kimono Reviewed by Leslie Greenfield on 2010-03-09 ***
I agree with Stephanie that this is a nice & easy pattern but needs some altering for the 12 mos. size. Firstly, you must bind off for the sleeves after 10 in. (this will come before you have the 33 sts on the needle). Also buy 3 balls. I have used HOMETOWN USA yarn previously and it looks & feels better on the skein then it works up. It was still fun to knit for an advanced beginner.
