HANGER
Glue end of A to any point on hanger. Allow glue to dry. *Wrap A once around hanger from front to back to create a loop, pass A underneath loop and pull to tighten; repeat from * 4 more times. Apply a small amount of glue to hanger at last loop of A. *Wrap B once around hanger from front to back to create a loop, pass B underneath loop to form a knot, pull to tighten; repeat from * 4 more times. |
Continue in this way, making 5 wraps with A and B alternately until hanger, including hook, is covered.
FINISHING
Glue yarn ends to hanger and allow to dry. Trim yarn ends. |

| This project took me back over 50 years! As kids, my sister and I used do this same project using two metal hangers worked together with yarn, ending up with the same results as shown. Since the hangers were free from the dry cleaner and cheap yarn could be obtained at any dime store - this was a project that could keep us and our budget-minded mother happy for hours.
