GAUGE:
18 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

SQUARE A (make 17) With A, cast on 32 sts.
Work in Garter st (k every row) until piece measures 9 in. (23 cm) from beg. Bind off.
SQUARE B (make 16) With B, cast on 33 sts.
Work in Seed St until piece measures 9 in. (23 cm) from beg. Bind off.
SQUARE C (make 16) With C, cast on 37 sts.

Am making this blanket for the THIRD time. The first two were Christmas gifts and this one is for a friend's son in Toy Story colors.
