Put a small amount of rice into one cup. Apply glue to the rim of this cup, then glue the rim of an empty cup to it.
Allow glue to dry. Tape masking tape over joined edges to secure.
For large Shakes, make 2 Bases and glue bottoms together.
Apply a small amount of glue to one section of Base and begin wrapping with yarn. Continue to apply glue and wrap with yarn until entire Base is covered. Allow to dry.
Cut lengths of yarn and glue onto Shakes as desired. Tie a few knots in a length of yarn and glue to one end of Shakes.
To make a pompom, wrap 2 strands of yarn around 3 fingers 5 or 6 times. Slip yarn off fingers and tie another strand around center. Trim ends of strands. Glue center of pompom to one end of Shakes.
