Flower with Petals Cut four 1 1/2 in. (4 cm) slits spaced evenly around edge of one cup to make petals.
Apply glue to bottom of cup wrap with yarn. Apply glue to side of cup below slits and wrap glued area with yarn. Allow glue to dry.
Apply glue to each petal and wrap with yarn. Allow to dry.
To make a pompom, wrap 2 strands of yarn around 3 fingers 5 or 6 times. Slip yarn off fingers and tie another strand around center. Cut ends of strands. Glue center of pompom to bottom of cup.
Flower Bud For base, cut away the side from one cup, leaving about 1/2 in. (1.3 cm) of side attached to base. Apply glue to side of base and wrap with yarn.
For bud, make six 1 in. (2.5 cm) slits spaced around edge of another cup. Fold cut pieces toward center of cup to make a rounded top. Apply glue to overlapping pieces, then allow to dry.
Apply glue to top and side of bud and wrap with yarn. Allow to dry.
Glue base to bud.
Allow to dry.
Cone Flower Apply a small amount of glue to bottom and side of cup. Wrap glued area with yarn, then allow to dry.
Apply glue to rim and about 1/2 in. (1.3 cm) inside top edge of cup. Wrap with yarn and allow to dry.
For flower center, cut away all but 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm) from side from another cup. Cut 1 in. (2.5 cm) V-shaped notches along side. Apply glue to bottom and side of cup below notches, then wrap with yarn.
Allow to dry.
Glue center into Flower.
To make tassel, knot 2 strands of yarn together at center. Trim ends then glue tassel to center.
Stem Apply glue to straw and wrap with yarn. Allow to dry, then glue a flower to one end of Stem.
