STITCH EXPLANATION:

sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.
hdc2tog (hdc decrease) Yarn over, insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 4 loops on hook.

NOTES:

Work in continuous rnds; do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed.

BIB
With A, ch 17.
Row 1: 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across to last ch, 2 sc in last ch – 18 sts.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook (increase made), sc in each sc across to last sc, 2 sc in last sc – 20 sts at end of row.
Rows 3 and 4: Rep Row 2 – 24 sts at end of Row 4.
Row 5: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
Rows 6-20: Rep Row 5.
Row 21: Ch 2, turn, hdc2tog, hdc in each of next 6 sts, sc in each of next 8 sts, hdc in each of next 6 sts, hdc2tog – 22 sts remaining at end of row.
Row 22: Ch 2, turn, hdc2tog, hdc in each of next 5 sts, sc in each of next 8 sts, hdc in each of next 5 sts, hdc2tog – 20 sts.
Row 23: Ch 2, turn, hdc2tog, hdc in each of next 4 sts, sc in each of next 8 sts, hdc in each of next 4 sts, hdc2tog – 18 sts.

INNER EYES (make 2)
With B, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Fasten off.

OUTER EYES (make 2)
With C, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed. Work in continuous rnds, do not join or turn.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each st around – 12 sts at end of rnd.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around – 18 sts. Fasten off.

MOUTH
With D, ch 11.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across – 10 sts.
Rows 2 and 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across – 10 sts. Fasten off.

ARMS (make 2)
With E, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed. Work in continuous rnds, do not join or turn.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each st around – 12 sts at end of rnd.
Rnds 3-5: Sc in each st around, stuffing piece as work progresses – 12 sts.
Rnd 6: Sc2tog around, at end of rnd, change to F – 6 sts at end of rnd.
Rnds 7-10: With F, sc in each st around – 6 sts. Fasten off.

TIES (make 2)
From right side, join A with slip st at one upper corner of Bib. Ch 40. Fasten off. Rep on opposite corner.

FINISHING
Sew Inner Eyes to Outer Eyes. Sew Eyes, Mouth, and Arms to Bib. Weave in ends.

I LOVE these bibs! I've now made all of them and am so addicted I'm making them for all my friends too! The only adaptation I made was to crochet the ties in as I was going round on the final sc row.... I simply chained from the corner and sc'd back and then carried on sc across and did the same at the next corner... Saves on the fiddly starting stopping and weaving in ends! Anything for an easy life! :OD
