Father's Day Drink Cozies

GAUGE:

13 sc + 12 rnds = 4 in. (10 cm) with A. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

1) Follow Stripe Sequence using specific colors of each Cozy.
2) To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color to complete st.
3) Carry unused color(s) up WS of work.

STRIPED CUP COZY
Stripe Sequence
(With A work 1 rnd, with B work 1 rnd, with C work 1 rnd) 3 times; with A work 1 rnd.
With A, (first color of Stripe Sequence), ch 22. Being careful not to twist, join with a sl st in beg ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: With A, sc in each ch around; join with sl st in beg st – 21 sts at the end of this rnd.
Rnds 2 and 3: Continuing in Stripe Sequence as established, sc in each sc around; join with sl st in beg st.
Rnd 4: Sc in each of next 6 sts, work 2 sc in next st, rep from * around; join with sl st in beg st – 24 sts.
Rnds 5–7: Rep Rnd 2.
Rnd 8: Sc in each of next 7 sts, work 2 sc in next st, rep from * around; join with sl st in beg st – 27 sts.
Rnds 9 and 10: Rep Rnd 2.
Fasten off.

SOLID CUP COZY (main photo)
With C, ch 22. Being careful not to twist, join with a sl st in beg ch to form a ring.
Work Rnds 1–10 as for Striped Cup Cozy.
Fasten off.

PATCH
With A, ch 9.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across – 8 sts at the end of this row.
Rows 2 and 3: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each sc across.
Fasten off.
With B, embroider straight st ‘DAD’ onto Patch. Sew PATCH to Cozy. With A, embroider straight st around top of Cozy. With B, rep sts just below A sts. Rep A and B sts around lower edge of Cozy.


STRIPED CAN COZY
Stripe Sequence
With C work 2 rnds, (with B work 1 rnd, with C work 1 rnd) 4 times, with C work 1 rnd.
With C of Stripe Sequence, ch 26. Being careful not to twist, join with a sl st in beg ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: With C, sc in each ch around; join with sl st in beg st – 25 sts at the end of this rnd.
Rnds 2–11: Continuing in Stripe Sequence as established, sc in each sc around; join with sl st in beg st.
Fasten off.

solid can cozy
SOLID CAN COZY
With A, ch 26. Being careful not to twist, join with a sl st in beg ch to form a ring.
With A, work Rnds 1-11 as for Striped Can Cozy.
Fasten off.
With a double strand of C, embroider 3 lines of straight sts around Cozy.

PATCH
With B, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Place marker for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around – 12 sts at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around – 18 sts.
Rnd 4: *3 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around – 24 sts.
Fasten off.
With A, embroider straight st ‘DAD’ onto Patch. Sew Patch with straight sts and double strand of C to Cozy.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.

These are really great for fathers day or even christmas now if you want to make it into a mothers day present just instead of DAD make it MOM
i really enjoyed making these
