GAUGE:
8 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (knit every row) with 1 strand each of A and B held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
1. Circular needle is used to accommodate large number of stitches. Work back and forth in rows as if knitting on straight needles.
2. Blanket is worked with 1 strand each of A and B held together throughout.

I just love this pattern. It worked up very quickly and was easy to follow. I made it in Jiffy light pink and blue together. It almost looks like cotton candy. I enjoy making it so much I made two more for adults with homespun yarn. I just added more rows to make it larger. They came out great. This pattern is a keeper.
