GAUGE: 11 dc + 10 rows = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| This is a quick an easy scarf. I have made three and experimented with different yarns and sizes. The scarf can look a little boring when finished. I added beaded fringe to two of the scarfs and it really dressed it up. Another scarf I made with a heavier yarn and added fancy fur to each end. I get a lot of complements on all three. A great beginner project.
