Jackson Square Afghan

Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice®

GAUGE:

One Square = 8 in. (20.5 cm). When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Jackson Square Afghan Reviewed by Maggie Doane on 2014-04-30 *****
I had never crochet an afghan but had shoulder surgery and was looking for something small to do. Knitting was out because of the arm movement. I found this pattern in the store for free and took one. The only problem I had was with the gauge. After I sewed all the squares together, I decided it was not big enough so made another row following the pattern. Now I am ready to finish it. It does need an edge though, due to the uneveness of the squares. I haven't decided on what to do yet, any suggestions? I love the pattern and will do it again.
