Gaelic Bay Afghan
Lion Brand® Fishermen's Wool®
GAUGE: 1 'wave' and 6 rows = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: dc2tog (dc decrease) Yarn over, insert hook into st and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops. Yarn over, insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through 2 loops, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook. |
NOTES: To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st.

| I had a hard time keeping the whole blanket from puckering up in a weird way at first, and while I am an avid knitter, this was basically the first time I ever crocheted anything. But the finished piece is AWESOME and you can't even tell. I also made it huge, about queen size.
