BASKET
Base With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker for beginning of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around 12 sts.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around 18 sts.
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts; rep from * around 24 sts.
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts; rep from * around 30 sts.
Rnd 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts; rep from * around 36 sts.
Rnd 7: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts; rep from * around 42 sts.
Rnd 8: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 6 sts; rep from * around 48 sts.
Rnd 9: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 7 sts; rep from * around 54 sts.
Rnd 10: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 8 sts; rep from * around 60 sts.

FLOWERS Cut a 12 in. (30.5 cm) length of E and a 24 in. (51 cm) length of B. Fold E length in half and lay along pencil for stem. Wrap B in a spiral around pencil and stem. Knot ends of E loosely together. Slide pencil carefully from yarn wraps and tighten knot to gather wraps together for Flower. Make as many Flowers as desired, using E for stems and B, C, or D for Flowers.
HANDLE Cut 15 lengths of A and 6 lengths of E, 25 in. (63.5 cm) long. Knot all strands tog about 1 1/2 in. (4 cm) from one end. Divide yarn into 3 groups of 7 strands each and braid. Knot strands tog about 1 1/2 in. (4 cm) from end.
FINISHING Sew Handle ends to Basket. Sew Flowers to Basket as desired. Place foam in Basket to add structure to Base.
Weave in ends.
