Pattern Sampler Scarf
Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick®
GAUGE:
9 sts + 12 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS) with A.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION:

Pattern Sampler Scarf Reviewed by Nancy Pawlowski on 2012-09-09
I used smaller knitting needles (size 11) and worsted weight instead of what the pattern calls for. Still used the same measurments lengthwise. Didn't have much luck with the k1tbl or p1tbl on the cable pattern so just did it with regular knit and purl stitches. Can't tell the difference.
I added 2 knit (garter st) rows at the beginning of the stripe pattern to keep it from curling. And I carried my striping yarns up the side so there were fewer ends to weave in.
I like the variety of patterns in this scarf. There are not many patterns with a cable section in sampler scarves.
