STITCH EXPLANATION:

sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

CREATURE
BODY (make 2)
With 2 strands of A held tog, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around–12 sts.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around–18 sts.
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts; rep from * around–24 sts.
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts; rep from * around–30 sts.
Rnd 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts; rep from * around–36 sts.
Rnd 7: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts; rep from * around–42 sts.
Rnd 8: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 6 sts; rep from * around–48 sts.
Rnd 9: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 7 sts; rep from * around–54 sts.
Fasten off.

ARMS AND LEGS (make 4)
With 1 strand of B, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 8 sc in first ch. Place marker for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnds 2–11: Sc in each st around.
Fasten off.

OUTER EYE (make 2)
With 1 strand of C, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around–12 sts.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around–18 sts.
Fasten off.

INNER EYE (make 2)
With 1 strand of B, work Rnds 1 and 2 of Outer Eye–12 sts.
Fasten off.

PUPIL (make 2)
With 1 strand of C, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Fasten off.

FINISHING
Sew Inner Eyes centered on top of Outer Eyes. Sew Eyes to one Body piece. Sew Pupils to center of Eyes. With wrong side of Body pieces tog and working through both thicknesses, join 1 strand of A with sl st in edge and work sc evenly spaced around outer edge, leaving an opening for stuffing. Stuff Body then finish crocheting pieces tog. Stuff Arms and Legs and sew to Body. Weave in ends.

These guys are so much fun! Now I just want to make one much bigger. It is so easy to do different variations and I even made one with the colors of my boyfriend's favorite football team. He's kind of like a good luck charm.
