Irvington Blanket

Lion Brand® Cotton-Ease® (new)

GAUGE:

16 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

Circular needle is used to accommodate large number of stitches. Knit Blanket back and forth in rows as if knitting with straight needles.

BLANKET
Cast on 5 sts.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: K3, yo, k2.
Row 3: K3, yo, k3.
Row 4: K3, yo, k to end of row.
Rep last row until you have 160 sts on needle.
Next (decrease) row: K2, k2tog, yo, k2tog, k to end of row.
Rep last row until 5 sts remain. Bind off.

FINISHING

Irvington Blanket Reviewed by Nancy Andrus on 2009-07-11 *****
Love the easy pattern with great edging and especially the soft texture of Cotton Ease Yarn. Hope there will be new colors in the future. A great pattern to take on a trip where you don't have to look at directions every row!
