Bright Circle Blankie

Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice® Baby

GAUGE:

Rows 1–5 = about 2 1/2 in. (6.5 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

V-st (Sc, ch 2, sc) worked in specified ch-2 sp or specified sc.

NOTES:

Six wedges are made separately then joined with a joining edging round. Each wedge is joined to the previous wedge along one side by threading the chs of the current wedge through the ch-sps of the previous wedge (called a ch-join). The last wedge is joined to the previous wedge and to the first wedge, in a similar manner.

Bright Circle Blankie Reviewed by Myrian Primera on 2010-08-27 ****
I was looking for something different for a baby blanket and I found it in this pattern. I did have to read it a couple of times to understand it, but I finally figured it out. I had trouble attaching the parts together,so I did it my way and also added a crochet button and placed it in the middle to make it look more like a ball.I think it came out beautiful.
