We moved to Oregon 3 years ago and promptly got into the whole Lewis and Clark, Hudson's Bay Company thing, so when I saw this pattern I just had to try it. It was easy and quick to do and turned out great -- generously sized and very soft and warm. My only suggestion would be that, for a "beginner" pattern, some instructions be included regarding the best way to change colors for the three "point" rows in the center -- I'm experienced enough that I could figure it out, but I think that a true beginner would be confused and end up with more ends to weave in than necessary. I did have to buy an extra ball of the white yarn, but I knit a bit loose.
