Sandbox Cardi and Hat Reviewed by Sarah Wirth on 2009-08-31
I only made the hat and increased the stiches to 50, as I was making it for a 5-year-old. I feel that casting on 44 stitches would have been plenty even for kid-size hat. Also, next time I make it, I will decrease more gradually, rather than starting with an entire row of K2tog, as I felt it was a boxy on top. On the positive side, the yarn in the rib and garter stitch look adorable. The hat did turn out cute, but could be cuter with a few tweaks.
