GAUGE:

1 Square = 4 in. (10 cm) When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Reviewed by Geneva Thomas on 2013-10-24 *****
I started this today for my bun in the oven when she comes home from the hospital she's due in January. I'm using honey, white, and purple. Slip stitching squares together on the wrong side which is making it look very nice though it took me a few tries to figure which way to do it so that it did look good. I may end up adding a square on the rows and a few more rows cuz my gauge is off by like a quarter inch and the fact that it only wants four rows of the motifs I think it will be a tad small esp to wrap her in. Instead of the white around the edge in gonna use the honey because it's my B color an only on the middle of the squares. I may use a different edging as well. I have yet to decide that. I love this pattern though as I'm a huge fan of granny squares cuz they're fast and easy to make. Plus it's going to turn out hella pretty.
