GAUGE:

1 Motif = 8 x 8 in. (20.5 x 20.5 cm) with 4 strands of A and 2 strands of B held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Rnd 2: *Ch 9, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next ch-5 sp, ch 5, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next ch-5 sp; rep from * 3 more times; join with sl st in first ch of beg ch-9 – 4 ch-9 sps and 4 ch-5 sps. Fasten off.

NEXT MOTIF (make 14)
With 4 strands of A and 2 strands of B held tog, ch 6; join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: (Ch 5, sc in ring) 8 times; join with sl st in first ch of beg ch-5 – 8 ch-5 sps.
