Lion Brand® Nature's Choice Organic® Cotton - Cotton-Ease®

GAUGE:

12 sts + 16 rnds = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st worked in the rnd (k every rnd) with 1 strand each of A and B held tog and larger needle. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

1) Sections 2 and 3 of the Cowl begin by picking up sts along the bound-off edge of the previous section.
2) To increase, k into A strand of next st, then k into B strand of same st – 1 st increased.

COWL

Change to smaller needle. Knit 1 rnd. Bind off.
Section 3
From RS with smaller needle and 1 strand each of A and B held tog, pick up and k94 sts around bound-off edge of Section 2. Join, place marker for beg of rnd.
Next Rnd: *K3, inc in next st; rep from * 22 more times, k2 – 117 sts.

Brighton Circle Cowl Reviewed by Renee Van Hoy on 2009-12-20 ****
Very pretty, and quite soft and warm in the doubled cotten strands. The cotton is a little hard to work with, no give in it, so I took rests between sessions. I have made 3 so far, because two friends saw mine and asked for one.
