Garter Square Washcloths

GAUGE: 18 sts + 34 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| I didn't do the fully striped version of this, but for the two I made, I really liked the different border on the decrease half. However, I also give 5 stars to previous reviewers for the - k1, k2tog, yo, k2tog, k to end - decrease because I made a set as a gift and the uniform border was very nice on the solid color I used. Great project either way- I have many 100% cotton scraps that will soon turn into more of these pretty little washcloths!
