Electric Colors Scarf
Lion Brand® Fishermen's Wool® - Sock-EaseTM
GAUGE: 16 sts + 22 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) with 1 strand of A and 1 strand of C held together. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: 1) Scarf is worked with 1 strand of A or B AND 1 strand of C, D, E, F or G held together throughout.
2) Scarf is designed so that edges will roll.

| Electric Colors Scarf Reviewed by Krista Winters-Irrera on 2011-01-21 |

I'm about 1/4 of the way complete with this piece. I love the yarns. My main complaint with this pattern is similar to the other reviewers. There is just no way possible to get the Sock-Ease to lay perfectly in front of the Fishermen's Wool to make it look exactly like the photo.
I did find that as you are working that if you guide the Sock-Ease yarn to lay to the LEFT of the Fishermen's Wool on the needle in the KNIT row and then on the RIGHT of the Fishermen's in the PURL row, you stand a better chance of having the colors appear on the front side of the work. This takes a little bit of finesse as it can tangle the yarns and mess up the tension a bit until you get the hang of what goes where and how. The going can be a bit slow for such a simple pattern.
I have no clue how Lionbrand made this scarf in the manner they did so that none of the Sock-Ease is showing on the wrong side of the piece. (You can see that when you zoom into the curled edge where the red/brown combination is you cannot see the Sock-Ease on the purl side.) In fact it shows up so much more on this side even if you have the yarns lay on the needle as I described above.
Also - the Sock-Ease colors are much more muted than in the photo which is just fine for me.
That being said, I am excited to see how this all turns out. I do recommend this pattern, but with a word of caution.
