GAUGE:
14 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (knit every row).
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
SLEEVES (make 2) Note: Carry unused color along wrong side of work. With A, cast on 24 sts. Rows 1 and 2: Knit. Change to B. Rows 3 and 4: Knit. Change to A. Rep Rows 1-4 until Wrister measures about 8 in. (20 cm) from beginning, ending with 2 rows of A. Bind off.
FINISHING Beginning at top edge, sew side edges together for 1 1/2 in. (4 cm), leave next 1 in. (2.5 cm) open for thumb, sew remainder of side edges together. Weave in ends.

Great for learning how to knit. Instead of 28 stitches I use 32 for larger hand.
