15 sts + 24 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) over Tweed Pattern. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Very nice but slip stitch at end a problem Reviewed by Kathryn Allen on 2013-12-17 ****
I just finished making this for my granddaughter in Thick N Quick yarn, alternating cream with cocoa brown, and it turned out beautifully. My only problem was the slip stitches at the end of the rows; when I did a slip stitch, the yarn isn't in the right place to begin the next row, so I just knit the last stitch on every row.
