With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 3 sc in first ch. Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Sc in each st around – 3 sts.
Rnd 3: Work 2 sc in each st around – 6 sts.
Rnd 4: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around – 9 sts.
Rnd 6: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 7: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around – 12 sts.
Rnd 8: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 9: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around – 15 sts.
Rnd 10: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 11: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around – 18 sts.
Rnd 12: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 13: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * around – 21 sts.
Rnd 14: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 15: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 6 sts, rep from * around – 24 sts.
Rnd 16: Sc in each st around. Fasten off.
FACE
With B, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch.
Rnd 2: Sc in each of first 2 sts, 2 hdc in each of next 2 sts, sc in each of last 2 sts. Fasten off.
BEARD
With B, ch 6.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next st, slip st in next ch, hdc in next ch, sc in last ch.
Fasten off.
POMPOM
With B, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 8 sc in first ch.
Rnd 2: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 3: Sc2tog around. Fasten off.
ARMS (make 2)
With B, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in first ch. Change to A.
Rnds 2-4: With A, sc in each st around. Fasten off.
LEGS (make 2)
With C, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch.
Rnds 2 and 3: Sc in each st around. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Embroider Face With black yarn, straight st eyes, with pink yarn work a straight st nose.
Sew Beard below nose, then sew Face to Body. Stuff Body and sew closed. Sew on Arms and Legs (Note: Arms and Legs are left unstuffed). With B, and leaving a long tail, sew on Pompom. Weave tail back into Pompom for hanging loop.
Weave in ends.
