GAUGE:

14 stitches = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row) with 2 strands held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Zig Zag Tweed Scarf Reviewed by min kramer on 2009-12-19 *****
This is a great, fun to work with pattern. I have made several and used different yarns and a different number of stitches. They all come out beautiful. I have even worn 2 at a time in different colors. Got lots of compliments and a few orders from my grandkids and their friends.
