GAUGE:
8 sts + 12 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) over St st (k on RS, p on WS) with 1 strand each of A and B held together. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Pocketed October Scarf Reviewed by get_christie_love on 2012-12-19
I am making this scarf. It is black and white, the pocket lining is white. If you knit the pocket lining in a contrasting color, something bright , the scarf will look very unique.
i am debating about the collar. I may not have time to fiddle with it. i also made it a bit longer
