Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

sc2tog (sc 2 sts together) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook - 1 st decreased.

NOTES:

Work in continuous rnds; do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed.

EYES (make 2)
With B, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each st around - 12 sts.
Fasten off.

HEAD AND BODY
With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch.
Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each st around - 12 sts at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 18 sts.
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 24 sts.
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around - 30 sts.
Rnd 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around - 36 sts.
Rnds 7-16: Sc in each st around.
Following package directions, attach safety eyes through center of each crocheted Eye.
Sew crocheted Eyes to Body.
Rnd 17: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around - 30 sts.
Stuff piece firmly.
Continue to stuff as work progresses.
Rnd 18: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around - 24 sts.
Rnd 19: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 18 sts.
Rnd 20: *Sc2tog, sc in next st, rep from * around - 12 sts.
Rnd 21: (Sc2tog) around - 6 sts.
Fasten off.

FEET (make 2)
With C, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 8 sc in first ch.
Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Sc in each st around - 8 sts.
Rnd 3: (Sc2tog) around - 4 sts.
Fasten off.

WINGS (make 2)
With D, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch.
Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each st around - 12 sts at the end of this rnd.
Rnds 3-5: Sc in each st around.
Change to E.
Rnds 6-7: With E, sc in each st around.
Change to A.
Rnds 8-9: With A, sc in each st around.
Rnd 10: (Sc2tog) around - 6 sts.
Fasten off.

BEAK
With C, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 4 sc in first ch.
Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Sc in first st, work 2 sc in each of next 2 sts, sc in last st - 6 sts.
Rnd 3: Sc in each of first 2 sts, work 2 sc in each of next 2 sts, sc in each of last 2 sts - 8 sts.
Rnd 4: Sc in each of first 3 sts, work 2 sc in each of next 2 sts, sc in each of last 3 sts - 10 sts.
Rnd 5: Sc in each of first 4 sts, work 2 sc in each of next 2 sts, sc in each of last 4 sts - 12 sts.
Rnd 6: Sc each of first 5 sts, work 2 sc in each of the next 2 sts, sc in each of last 5 sts - 14 sts.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Stuff Beak and sew to Head. Lightly stuff Wings and Feet and sew to Body.
Weave in ends.
