Felted Downtown Clutch
Lion Brand® Fishermen's Wool
GAUGE: 16 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) before felting. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: Blanket Stitch
Secure yarn on inside of work. Working from left to right, carry needle and yarn around from back to front, allow yarn to wrap loosely over edge of work. *Insert needle from front to back approx. 1/2 in. (1.5 cm) from previous stitch and from edge of work, catching yarn wrap with needle to form a "corner". Gently tighten stitch; repeat from * along edge.
