Easy Tweed Scarf

Lion Brand« LB Collection« Cashmere

GAUGE:

10 double crochet + 5 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] with 2 strands held together. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

NOTES:

Scarf is worked with 2 strands of yarn held together throughout.

SCARF
With 1 strand each of A and B held together, chain 12.
Row 1: Double crochet in 3rd chain from hook (counts as first double crochet here and throughout) and in each chain across.
Row 2: Chain 3, turn. Double crochet in each stitch across.
Repeat Row 2 until piece measures about 66 in. (167.5 cm) from beginning. Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.

That is for a CASHMERE scarf - silly - you can always just go and buy a generic CASHMERE scarf for $60-$300 (check Nordstrom's or Sax Fifth ave.)
But they have limited colors and generic styles for that price. So $60 for this is not bad.
