Easy Tweed Scarf

GAUGE:
10 double crochet + 5 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] with 2 strands held together. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

SCARF With 1 strand each of A and B held together, chain 12.
Row 1: Double crochet in 3rd chain from hook (counts as first double crochet here and throughout) and in each chain across.
Row 2: Chain 3, turn. Double crochet in each stitch across.
Repeat Row 2 until piece measures about 66 in. (167.5 cm) from beginning. Fasten off.

Great pattern, it worked up so nicely and quickly. I made one for my husband, then my sister saw it and wanted one of her own. Great idea for Christmas presents!
