Lollipop

GAUGE:

Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

NOTES:

1)Work in continuous rnds; do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed.
2)Yarn is sufficient for multiple Lollipops.

LOLLIPOP
Ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker in first st for beginning of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each st around – 12 sts.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around – 18 sts.
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts; rep from * around – 24 sts.
Rnds 5-10: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 11: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 2 sts; rep from * around – 18 sts. Stuff piece firmly, add additional stuffing as work progresses.
Rnd 12: *Sc2tog, sc in next st; rep from * around – 12 sts.
Rnd 13: (Sc2tog) around – 6 sts.
Rnd 14: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 15: Work 2 sc in each st around – 12 sc.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.
Paint dowel white and allow to dry. Apply glue to one end of dowel, insert that end into Lollipop, allow to dry.

My sister is making these but she is going to put a bell inside the round part on top. And she is not putting the stick in it! Would work great as a cat or dog toy in the way that I just explained it
