Skull Candy Bag
Lion Brand® Lion® Wool
GAUGE: 10 sc + 11 rnds = 4 in. (10 cm), before felting BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: 1. Bag is worked with 2 strands of yarn held together throughout.
2. To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over; yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. For short distances, carry color not in use underneath stitches. For longer distances, fasten off old color.
3. Bag is worked in continuous rounds; do not join and do not turn at the end of rounds.
4. The chart design may pull to one side as rounds are worked. Shift chart design one stitch over, if desired, to compensate.

| Skull Candy Bag (er, Potholder) Reviewed by Kate Styrsky on 2012-10-02 |

There's just something about doing crocheted colorwork in a SKULL pattern that's SO MUCH FUN. I have no trickortreaters around,so used the pattern with cotton yarns to make potholders. This skully image is stylishly simple and turns out very nicely (I know because I got so enthusiastic about it that I cranked out four of 'em.)
(To make potholder, I made a plain square for the back and crocheted the two together, with or without picots.)
