Candy Box Granny Afghan

GAUGE:

Rnds 1-4 of Afghan = 8 in. (20.25 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Work each round holding one strand of each color together as follows:
Rnd 1: A and B
Rnd 2: B and C
Rnd 3: C and D
Rnd 4: D and E
Rnd 5: E and F
Rnd 6: F and A
Rep this color order for Color Sequence.

AFGHAN
With A and B held tog, ch 4; join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), 2 dc in ring, ch 2, (3 dc in ring, ch 2) 3 times; join with sl st in top of beg ch. Fasten off.
Rnd 2: Join B and C with sl st in any ch-2 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same ch-sp (beg corner made), ch 1, *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-2 sp (corner made), ch 1; rep from * around; join with sl st in top of beg ch. Fasten off.
Rnd 3: Join C and D with sl st in any corner ch-2 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same ch-sp, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-2 sp, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1; rep from * around; join with sl st in top of beg ch. Fasten off.
Rnd 4: Join next colors of Color Sequence with sl st in any corner ch-2 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same ch-sp, ch 1, (3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1) across to next corner ch-2 sp, *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next corner ch-2 sp, ch 1, (3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1) across to next corner ch-2 sp; rep from * around; join with sl st in top of beg ch. Fasten off.
Rnds 5-23: Rep Rnd 4 and continue changing color following Color Sequence ending with E and F.
Rnd 24: Join F and A with sl st in any ch-sp, ch 1, sc in each dc and ch-1 sp around, working 3 sc in each corner ch-2 sp; join with sl st in beg ch. Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.

I used the P15 hook originally in this pattern. If you do, I suggest buying one extra yarn roll each of pea green and antique rose.
