GAUGE: 11 dc + 10 rows = 4 in. (10 cm).
EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO THIS PROJECT.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

SCARF
Chain 30.
Row 1: Double crochet in 6th chain from hook, *skip next chain, chain 1, double crochet in next chain; repeat from * across ending with double crochet in last chain.
Row 2: Chain 4 (counts as first double crochet and chain 1), turn. *Skip next chain-1 space, double crochet in next double crochet, chain 1, repeat from * across ending with double crochet into last double crochet.
Repeat Row 2 until almost all yarn has been used. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.

I have made three of these in the past few days. They are really pretty and lacy looking. I used a size H crochet hook which gave me the look I wanted. I put short tassels on the ends. I enjoy quick to complete projects and this is a keeper.
