SHAWL
First Half Cast on 48 sts.
Row 1: Sl 1, increase 1 st in next st, k to last 2 sts, k2tog.
Row 2: Sl 1, k to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows until piece measures 36 in. (91.5 cm) along diagonal edge, ending with a Row 1.
Second Half
Rows 1 and 2: Rep Rows 1 and 2 of First Half.
Row 3: Rep Row 1 of First Half.
Rep Rows 2 and 3 until Second Half measures same as First Half. Bind off.
FINISHING Weave in ends.

Lovely and uncomplicated, just a little too narrow. I added a p3, k3 pattern to give it a more interesting texture. If I make another, I would make it wider by 10 or 12 stitches. (This is a discontinued yarn I had in my stash, not Homespun.)
