Baby Kimono

Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice® Baby

GAUGE:

9 sts + 13 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS), with 1 strand each of A and B held together. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

NOTES:

Kimono is worked in one piece starting at lower edge of Back, worked over the shoulders and ending at lower edge of Fronts.

Baby Kimono Reviewed by Carri Eikenberry on 2009-06-16 ****
I enjoyed making this, however, it seems to be a larger fit than in the picture. I made a size 3 for a friend's daughter, and it is roomy on my 5 yr old. My measurements are correct, but I may re-do in a size 2 so she can wear it this fall.
