Machine-Knit Piecework Blanket

Exact gauge is not essential to this project.
NOTES:
1) Blanket is knit with Stitch Dial at 7 throughout.
2) Refer to your knitting machine manual for instructions on how to cast on, cast off and work with the transfer tool.
3) Sample was made on a Silver Reed LK-150 knitting machine. Any mid-gauge knitting machine can be used.
BLANKET
Rectangles 1 and 2 (make 2, 1each with A and B) Cast on ndls 40-0-40 (40 ndls each to the left and right of 0) 80 sts.
K 152 rows. Cast off.
Rectangles 3 and 4 (make 2, 1each with A and B) Cast on ndls 28-0-28 56 sts.
K 102 rows. Cast off.
Rectangle 5 (make 1) With C, cast on ndls 0-56 (56 ndls to the right of 0).
Rows 129: Knit.
Rows 30 (Eyelet Row):With transfer tool, transfer sts on ndls 13, 17, 21 and 25 to ndls 12, 16, 20 and 24.
Note: Make sure that ndls 13, 17, 21 and 25 are back in B position.
Rows 3135: Knit.
Rep Rows 30-35, 4 more times then knit even until 102 rows total have been completed. Cast off.
Rectangles 6 and 7 (make 2) With C, cast on ndls 056.
Rows 199: Knit
Row 100 (Eyelet Row):With transfer tool, transfer sts on ndls 13, 17, 21 and 25 to ndls 12, 16, 20 and 24.
Note: Make sure that ndls 13, 17, 21 and 25 are back in working position.
Rows 101105: Knit
Rep Rows 100105, 5 more times then knit even until 154 rows total have been completed. Cast off.
FINISHING Following Assembly Diagram, arrange Rectangles into Blanket. From right side, with crochet hook, join C with a slip st.
Work single crochet evenly spaced through both layers of adjoining Rectangles. Seams are meant to show on right side.
Fasten off and rejoin C as needed until all Rectangles have been joined.
From right side, join C with a slip st anywhere along outside edge of Blanket.
Work single crochet evenly spaced around entire outside edge of Blanket, working 3 single crochet in each corner.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
