HEAD

Beg stuffing.
Continue to stuff as work progresses.
Rnd 14: *Sc2tog, sc in next st, rep from * around - 12 sts.

Trunk
Rnds 15-25: Sc in each st around.
Finish stuffing trunk. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Use yarb tail to sew end of trunk closed. Bend tip of trunk slightly upwards, and use remaining tail to sew in place.

EARS (make 2)
Rnd 7: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * around – 56 sts.
Fasten off.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook - 1 st decreased.

BODY (make 2) With A, ch 29.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - 28 sts.
Rows 2-20: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
Row 21: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in each of next 24 sts, sc2tog - 26 sts.
Row 22: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in each of next 22 sts, sc2tog - 24 sts.
Row 23: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in each of next 20 sts, sc2tog - 22 sts.
Row 24: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in each of next 18 sts, sc2tog - 20 sts.
Row 25: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in each of next 16 sts, sc2tog - 18 sts.
Row 26: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in each of next 14 sts, sc2tog - 16 sts.
Row 27: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in each of next 12 sts, sc2tog - 14 sts.

LEGS (make 4)
With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each st around - 12 sts.
Rnds 3-5: Sc in each st around.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Hold Front and Back of bodies together. Join yarn with sl st; sc evenly through both thicknesses around entire outside edge to join, along sides and top of Body. Stuff Body before finishing off.
Tail
Join yarn with sl st at back of Body, ch 8. Fasten off.
Sew head to body on right side. Fold ears in half to form semi-circles and sew onto Head. Sew on legs. Weave in ends.

Really had fun watching it all come together. I'm pretty much a beginner and I'd say this pattern is pretty easy. I still wasn't sure if I should saw the half circle ears together or not so I didn't.
