BASE
With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Place marker for beginning of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around–12 sts.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around–18 sts.
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts; rep from * around–24 sts.
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts; rep from * around–30 sts.
Rnd 6 (ruffle): *(Sc, hdc) in next st, (hdc, sc) in next st, sl st in next st; rep from * around.
Fasten off.
BOTTOM LAYER
With A, ch 2.
Rnds 1–5: Work Rnds 1–5 of Base–30 sts.
Rnd 6: Working through back loops only, sc in each st around.
Rnds 7 and 8: Sc in each st around.
Fasten off.
MIDDLE LAYER
With A, ch 2.
Rnds 1–4: Work Rnds 1–4 of Base–24 sts.
Rnd 5–7: Work Rnds 6–8 of Bottom Layer.
Fasten off.
TOP LAYER
With A, ch 2.
Rnds 1–3: Work Rnds 1–3 of Base–18 sts.
Rnds 4–6: Work Rnds 6–8 of Bottom Layer.
Fasten off.
FLOWER
With B, ch 2.
Rnd 1: (Hdc, sl st) 6 times in 2nd ch from hook. Fasten off.
LEAF
With C, ch 3.
Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, 3 hdc in last ch; working along opposite side of foundation ch, sc in next ch; join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Stuff Top Layer and sew, centered, to Middle Layer. Rep with remaining layers. Sew Flower and Leaf to top of Cake.
Weave in ends.
