GAUGE: Motif = about 13 in. (33 cm) square. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

FIRST MOTIF
With A, ch 11. Being careful not twist, join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 24 sc in ring; join with sl st in first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st as join, sc in next 5 sc, (ch 4, sc in next 6 sc) 3 times, ch 4; join with sl st in first sc - 24 sc and 4 ch-4 sp corners.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st as join, sc in next 5 sc, ch 4, sc in next ch-4 sp, ch 4 (corner), *sc in next 6 sc, ch 4, sc in next ch-4 sp, ch 4 (corner); rep from * around; join with sl st in first sc.
Rnds 4-6: Ch 1, sc in same st as join, *sc in each sc to next ch-4 sp, ch 4, (sc in next ch-4 sp, ch 4) across ch-4 sps of corner; rep from * around; join with sl st in first sc - 5 ch-4 sp at each corner.
Rnd 7: Sk next sc, sl st in next sc, ch 1, sc in same sc, sc in next 3 sc, sk next sc, (ch 4, sc in next ch-4 sp) twice, ch 9, sk next ch-4 sp, (sc in next ch-4 sp, ch 4) twice, sk next sc, *sc in next 4 sc, (ch 4, sc in next ch-4 sp) twice, sk next sc, ch 9, sk next ch-4 sp, (sc in next ch-4 sp, ch 4) twice; rep from * around; join with sl st in first sc.

Fasten off.
SECOND MOTIF
With B, make same as First Motif.
FINISHING
Sew First and Second Motifs together at center and at top and bottom corners of one side. Weave in ends. |

| i also had that issue. It took me about an hour of playing with it fo finnally get it together, and i simply used a ribbon so it won't pull my hair. other than the issue it is absolutly beautiful.
