GAUGE:
6 stitches = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) with 3 strands held together.
Due to the nature of the fabric when working with Speed Stix, gauge may vary throughout. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
Work holding 3 strands of yarn together throughout.
SCARF With 3 strands of yarn held together, cast on 11 stitches.
Work in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) until about 20 in. (51 cm) of 3 strands remain.
Bind off.
I really enjoyed this pattern! The scarf is gorgeous and warm and was a great project for using size 50 needles for the first time.
Minus 1 star though, because my scarf curled almost into a tube and nothing I tried would make it lay flat. I was disappointed at first but it grew on me once I got used to it.
