Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

STEM
With A, ch 2. Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st in beg st.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, work 2 sc in each st around–12 sts. Join with sl st in beg st.
Rnds 2- 9: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join with sl st in beg st.
Rnd 10: Ch 2, dc in same sp, work 2 dc in each remaining st around. Join with sl st in beg ch. Fasten off.

TOP
With B, ch 2. Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st in beg st.
Rnd 1: Ch 2, dc in same sp, work 2 dc in each remaining st around – 12 sts. Join with sl st in beg ch.
Rnds 2 and 3: Rep Rnd 1 – 48 sts at end of Rnd 3.
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in every other st around. Join with sl st in beg st. Do not fasten off.

FINISHING
Stuff Stem.
Assembly
Place Top on Stem. With B, work 1 more rnd sc around Top, inserting hook into Rnd 4 of Top and Rnd 10 of Stem on each st to join Top to Stem. Stuff Top before finishing rnd. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
